One of the greatest luxuries of owning a jeep is the unique ability to take off the doors and windows. However, sometimes, if you live in a place that gets covered with that thick blanket of snow every year, you eventually have to put them back on. How to Remove the Hard Top
- Remember, if you have a four-door model, you should use a T40 Torx Head Driver to remove the two Torx head screws at the back of the front door.
- Next, with a T40 Torx Head Driver, take out the six Torx head screws on each side of the the vehicle.
- Find the wiring harness on the left rear inside corner and release the red locking tab after you’ve first separated the wiring harness from the hard top.
- Disengage the rear window washer hose and finally, open the back swing gate and lift off the hard top. Presto! You're done.
