Although the Ram 1500 is a light-duty truck, it is able to offer what most of the larger trucks offer. The truck has a choice of four engines, some with a mild hybrid system that improve power and fuel efficiency. It is capable of towing up to 12,750 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2,300 pounds.
The engine choices are either V6 or V8. All the engines can tow at least 11,500 pounds when well-equipped. It also features several other performance and capability features, such as the hill descent assist and hill start assist that make the truck easier to handle.
