The Ram 3500 was engineered to tow heavy loads. It features three engines choices all designed to give you the power you need. The 6.4L Hemi V8 is the standard engine in all models. This engine offers a variable cam timing feature to deliver the best horsepower in its class, 410 hp. This power allows you to tow up to 18,210 pounds and carry a maximum of 7,680 pounds in the truck’s bed. This engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission for great refinement.

There are two available engines.

Although the Ram 1500 is a light-duty truck, it is able to offer what most of the larger trucks offer. The truck has a choice of four engines, some with a mild hybrid system that improve power and fuel efficiency. It is capable of towing up to 12,750 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2,300 pounds.

The heavy-duty construction of the engine adds to the performance and durability of the truck. With this truck, you can tow or payload the maximum weight and still have it hold on well.

The engine has the best-in-class oil change intervals at 15,000 miles.
